Why did we make Leilani?
Everyone who worked on the film has always loved fantasy. When the opportunity and budget arose, we were delighted to put our hearts and backs into the production.
A fantasy film like this is twofold: an outward journey that takes us into an exciting world full of mystery and danger that we itch to explore, but also inwards to the core of the “soul” of humanity.
We aspired to create a story that feels like a real opportunity to venture outside of ourselves and return with a better understanding of who we are.
